Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Delores Wittynek can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Delores Irene Wittynek

Delores was born November 25,1948 in Canora, Sk to parents Tony and Kay. She was the eldest of 3 children. She attended school in Hudson Bay Delores Wittynek November 25, 1948 - September 2, 2023 and then secretarial school in Prince Albert.
On September 2, 1967 she married Doug Wittynek of Hudson Bay. The majority of their married life was spent in Hudson Bay with the exception of a few years when they moved to Deerwood, Minnesota when Doug was transferred for his job. While there they made many lasting friendships.
On their return to Hudson Bay they were reunited with all their friends whom they grew up with and shared common interests. Delores worked in retail although her real calling was caregiver, first with her father-in-law Joe then for her mother Kay. Delores loved to garden and it showed as she always had a beautiful yard with the most lovely flowers. One year she received 1st place for her yard by "Communities in Bloom".
In later years they enjoyed to snowmobile, camp and travel down south until Delores's health started to decline.
In recent years Delores became a resident in long-term care, first in Carrot River then finally back in Hudson Bay. Mom was also an animal lover with numerous pets throughout her life.
Delores was predeceased by her parents Tony and Kay and her son Stacey along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Left to mourn her passing is her loving husband Doug of 56 years, daughter Shelley (Sergio) granddaughters
Grace and Libby, step-granddaughter Katrina; daughter Susan (Cameron), granddog Jake; brother Randy; sister Brenda (Dale), and niece Brooke.
