It is with great sadness that the family of Joyce Porsnuk/Zayat announce her passing. On November 28, 2020 Joyce was called home at the age of 86. Joyce was born on May 16, 1934 at the family farm near Weekes, Saskatchewan to John and Julia Zayat. Joyce is predeceased by her parents, numerous siblings, her husband Leslie Porsnuk - 2011, and her Daughter Fay Porsnuk - 2019. Joyce is survived by; her three sons, Leonard Porsnuk, Dennis Porsnuk (Carol), Arnold Porsnuk (Julie), and one granddaughter, Christina; Sister, Alice Southam, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews. Joyce moved to Lethbridge, Alberta to be closer to her son, Arnold. She lived in Lethbridge for the past three years. Joyce worked as a waitress in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan while raising her family. When Joyce retired, she became involved with the United Church Ladies Club, cooking, volunteering, and working the rummage sales. When Joyce was not volunteering, she was enjoying being busy with her house and garden and once a year going to Regina, Saskatchewan for a mini reunion with all her children. Joyce will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. There will be no church funeral, but a private graveside service held at the Hudson Bay Town Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Joyce may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Funeral arrangments were entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Services - lethbridge Alberta, and Blair's Funeral Home - Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan.
