Obituary for Raymond George Dickson

Raymond was born on February 9, 1942 in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan. His parents were George and Helen (nee Gryzbowski) Dickson.
Raymond grew up in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan. While growing up he worked for numerous farmers. He loved hunting, fishing, and working in his shop on various jobs. His full time employment with MacMillan Bloedel started in 1964. He worked there until his retirement at the age of 59.
On May 6, 1966, Raymond married Mary Ann Fialkowski from Usherville, Saskatchewan. They lived in town the first two years of marriage, then moved to their acreage and resided there ever since. The couple were blessed with three children: Ray, Sandra and Brenda and three precious grandchildren: Sidney, Rylan and Tyler.
On Raymond’s days off from the mill he was either hunting, fishing or cutting firewood. He loved the outdoors, and loved his gardening each summer. Raymond’s family was always important to him, spending much of his leisure time with his wife, kids and then later in life with his grandchildren. Raymond looked forward to his visits and coffee time with his good friends and neighbors.
Raymond was predeceased by his father George Dickson; his mother Helen Dickson; sister Beatrice Anaka; sister Anna-Mae Tschetter; and brother David Dickson.
Raymond is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years Mary Ann; his children: Ray, Sandra (Terry), and Brenda; along with his grandchildren: Sidney, Rylan and Tyler Dickson.
Raymond touched many with his caring ways, and his humorous approach to life. Raymond has a large extended family and many close friends that he made over the years. He will be missed dearly, and has left us with many beautiful memories that we will cherish always.
