Obituary for Ronald Mathew Ogren

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ronald Mathew Ogren announce his sudden passing at home on August 25, 2017 at the age of 61 years.
Ronald was born on October 19, 1955 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan to parents Carl and Lena Ogren. Ronald was raised on the family farm near White Fox, Saskatchewan. He received his elementary schooling in White Fox and completed his senior years at the LP Miller High School in Nipawin.
On August 5, 1978, Ronald married Penny Martin, and together they were blessed with two children: son Daniel and daughter Ashley. Ronald’s working career led him to Saskatoon where he worked full-time for the City of Saskatoon. In 2009, after working for 31 years for the City Ronald retired.
Being raised in a rural area Ronald developed a love for hunting, fishing and everything the outdoors had to offer. He also enjoyed the sport of curling, as well as working on vehicles, playing crib and cooking.
Ronald’s passion for nature and the outdoors would lead him to purchasing his “Ranch” near Bjorkdale, Saskatchewan two years ago. This relocation from the City life would allow him to once again enjoy hunting and fishing at his leisure.
Ronald was predeceased by his parents Carl and Lena; and a brother Dennis.
He leaves to mourn his passing his son Daniel; his daughter Ashley (Derek) Thomas; his grandchildren: Audi Thomas and Boston Thomas; his siblings: Jim, Barry, Ritchie, Donna, Joan and Karen; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; the mother of his children and good friend Penny; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Ronald’s family would like to express their gratitude for the many kindnesses evidenced in thought and deed during this difficult time. Ronald’s family would like to express their deepest thanks to Rocky Birtles, Collin Birtles, Darrell Lucas, Austin Powell, Bud Abel, Adam Abel, the Paramedics of the Tisdale Ambulance Service, the 1st Responders on Scene, and the Tisdale RCMP.
