Obituary for Lawrence Harold Riddoch

It is with great sadness that the family of Lawrence Harold Riddoch announces his sudden passing on December 30, 2023 in the Hudson Bay Health Care Facility at the age of 77. He will be always cherished by his children Loretta (Kevin), Douglas (Genie), Dwayne (Denise) and Lorne, grandchildren Kelsey (Paige), Rachel (Vlad), Paige (Cody), Devin, Kadyn, Rylan, Hanna, and great grandchild Amelia. He will also be greatly missed and loved by his siblings Vivian, Jim, Shirley, Bill, Joyce, and Ron along with all his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws (the twisted sisters) plus numerous nieces and nephews. Lawrence is predeceased by his loving wife Annabelle, daughter Jeannine, mother Jeannette, father Charles, sister Patsy, brother Don and sister Sharon.

Born September 9, 1946 in Hudson Bay, SK to Charles and Jeannette Riddoch where he spent his whole life. Lawrence worked most of his life with Simpson Timber, SaskForest Products and Weyerhaeuser. Lawrence was known for his bountiful garden and loved to share with his family and friends. Lawrence and Annabelle spent a lot of time outdoors and loved camping, fishing and they had a passion for making outdoor furniture and woodwork. Lawrence also loved hunting and had great memories of moose camp with the boys. We have a very tight family connection who looks after each other and love each other unconditionally. This is because of the type of parents Lawrence and Annabelle were and how they taught us that family comes first above all.

The family would like to extend their greatest appreciation to Dr. Maree and the entire Hudson Bay Health Care Facility Team and Jen Hue and Diana Hue for the home care they provided. He talked about his “girls” the whole time you were caring for him. Knowing that dad was in good hands when we could not be there to care for him, goes beyond words. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
