Obituary for Eileen Carole Moen (McPeak)
Eileen Carole Moen was born in Tisdale, SK on March 19, 1948 to parents Genevieve and Earl McPeak. Eileen passed away June 25, 2017 in the Tisdale Hospital with family by her side.
Eileen grew up in the Clashmoore District and graduated from Tisdale High School. She continued to the University of Saskatchewan where she received her Bachelor of Education in May of 1973. Her career began in Dundurn, SK and soon led her to the Village of Bjorkdale, SK in 1975. Eileen quickly became immersed in her community; she was involved in many activities and never shied away from volunteer commitments; spearheading many.
Eileen's passion was to teach! She taught at the Bjorkdale School over 33 years in various capacities' finding her niche in the K-2 Classroom. After her retirement in 2008; she continued to sub whenever needed. Eileen touched many lives and gave children a love for learning; her legacy will live on through the countless students she taught to read and write and every community member she had the opportunity to work alongside.
Eileen was predeceased by her Mother Genevieve, Father Earl and Father-in-law Art.
Left to cherish her memory is her Husband of 38 years Verne, Daughter Jenica (Kurt), Son Kenneth and Grandchildren Nathan and Olivia, Brother Norman (Karole), Mother-in-law Kay, Brother-in-law Lorne (Iva), Sisters-in-law: Val (Mike), Laura (Chris) and Faye (Pat), her nieces and nephews, and many special friends and relatives who were an important part of her life.
