Obituary for Alice Prefontaine

Alice Prefontaine
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Alice Prefontaine, of Bjorkdale, Saskatchewan on March 16, 2023 at the the age of 86.
Alice was born in Wishart, Saskatchewan on December 5th, 1936 to parents Louis and Susan Sebastian. She received her education at Lestock High School. After graduating from high school, Alice moved to Saskatoon to pursue secondary education. Shortly after, she met and fell in love with a boy named Sylvian. She married Sylvian Prefontaine on April 27, 1957 in Saskatoon. They lived in Saskatoon for 6 years where their children Kevin, Darryl and Baby Louis were born. They also lived briefly in Flin Flon, Manitoba, and Burnaby. They returned to Saskatchewan to farm at Bjorkdale with their young family. They expanded their family with James, Denis, and Susan. Alice was an extremely devoted wife and mother. She was an exceptional cook and everyone loved her homemade bread and cinnamon buns. Our mouths water just thinking of them! She leaves to cherish her memories; son James, many siblings, nieces and nephews.
Alice was predeceased by her parents, her husband Syl, her children: Kevin, Darryl, Baby Louis, Denis, and Susan.
Alice lived, loved, and was loved in return. Her example in times of profound sadness, like this, would be to look to her faith for strength and then to carry on. As the world lost a special spirit, who was a mother, a sister, an aunt, a friend-heaven gained an angel. We will miss her until we meet again.
A memorial for Alice is Saturday, July 22nd at 2:00 at the Prefontaine Farm.
Son James, is truly grateful for the support, condolences, and friendships during this difficult time.
