Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lane Smith can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Lane Rodger  Smith
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lane Rodger Smith on December 14, 2022. Lane was born and raised in Steen, Sask. Lane and Penny met in August of 1994, married on February 14, 1998 fully combining 2 families. Lane and Penny had a farm life mixed with livestock, Lane was farmer and a Heavy Equipment Operator. The life of a pipeline was very fulfilling in Lane's life. Lane also took time to enjoy a good skidoo tour, seasonal hunting and fishing and a competitive night of endless card games with friends and family: The most important people in his life were his family. Lane leaves to mourn, his loving wife Penny and their four children: Rodger, Brock, Sherry (Mike Baschuk), Shawn (Jennifer Grandguillot), 5 grandchildren: Nicholas, Dani, Breanna, Lucas and Jacob, Brothers: Rocky (Lorie) and Mark (Rhonda) and numerous nieces, nephew's and cousins.  Lane was a loving, caring and honest man. devoted to his family and friends. Lanes outlook on life was to be honest, to work hard and above all to keep it Simple.

Donations in memory of Lane can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
