Annie Rumak (Hyhoryshen)
Born in Ethelbert MB to Ilko and Parashka Hryhoryshen on January 14, 1919.A sister to Jack, Metro, Lena, Polly, and Natalia. Annie married Peter in Hudson Bay, SK on July 12, 1941. Together they raised Clifford, Ernie, Sharon, Donna (Edward), Rose (Mark), and Arlene.

Great Great Grandchildren: Rylen, Kyler, Payten, and Laken.
Annie was predeceased by her father, Ilko, and her mother, Paraska, in 1965 in Pine River, MB. Brothers: Jack and Metro, and their wives Mary and Della. Lena, Natalia, and Polly, along with their spouses. Sons-in-law: Roger and Terry. Daughters-in-law: Jean and Elvina. Grandson: Aidon. Father-in-law Nick, Mother-in-law Pearl, Brother-in-law Alex and Sister-in-law Emily.
Annie loved to quilt. Every child, all 48 of them, received a special handmade quilt.
Annie’s talents did not just stop there. She was famous for baking, including perogies, cabbage rolls, doughnuts, cinnamon buns, bread, pies and cookies. The cellar was always full of canning raspberries, peaches, pears, jams, jellies, and pickles. Her family and friends will never forget those Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving feasts and all the fabulous meals in between. Annie had a green thumb. Her vegetable gardens and flower beds were incredible. The blooming flowers were picture-perfect, and the vegetable garden was bountiful. Life didn’t stop there; attending to the turkeys and chickens, gathering eggs, milking cows, and then hustle off to bingo with Sharon. How did she ever find the time? What an amazing Mom!
Annie made many trips with her children, hunting for wild berries, wildflowers, mushrooms and fishing. Every trip was an adventure; you never knew where you might find yourself, even if it was alongside the road to grab a pussy willow. There was also the lighter side to life; jokes were constantly being played. Whether it was Ernie playing a trick on mom with the garden hose, or mom getting locked out of the house by older three. Ernie, the ultimate prankster, was scolded the most but was still one of the golden children.
Clifford was always polished to perfection. Mom would always iron his jeans and shirts. To this day, Clifford still does shine to perfection in pressed jeans and shirts. Donna was always chasing after Clifford, Ernie, and Sharon as she wanted to be in on the action with her older siblings -- Fussy and spoiled. Then there is Rose and Arlene, nothing to say about those two; Mom was too played out after the first four kids.
All jokes aside, the entire family would like to thank Rose for moving in with mom and treating her like a queen. You are truly an amazing sister to all of us. We all thank you for the care you gave Mom. Mom, we thank you for all the tea and wisdom you have shared with all 48 of us. We love you -- All around the world and back into our hearts. See you later, alligator.
Immediate Family celebration of Annie’s life shall be held at a later date.
