Condolence: Our sincere sympathies go out to Alice and family as well Mervin, Dennis, and Pat for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, and big brother. May fond memories help to ease the pain.

Condolence: Alice, Scott, Kyron, Darcy, Nyle, Mervin, Dennis, Pat and your families: I am so very sorry about Vic's passing - and I am sorry that I wasn't in Sturgis for the funeral - I was thinking about all of you. Vic and Alice have always been part of my life - because Vic was part of my dad's life from birth ... and Vic and Alice had a close friendship with my parents through the years. In addition to the family visiting back and forth, Vic took me "under his wing" as a union member when I was with the Ministry of Social Services years ago, he and Alice made an effort to travel to Inuvik, NT when I lived there (although they only made it as far as the Arctic Circle and turned around due to several flat tires on the Dempster Highway), and they showed up at a few of the different places that I lived in SK over the years - usually when they were out for a Sunday drive. Vic was a very good man, and was an exceptional friend to so many over the years. He embraced the meaning of "community" and wholeheartedly contributed to every community that he was a part of. He will be missed - very much.

Condolence: My condolences to Alice and to all of Vic’s family. I had the pleasure to work alongside with Vic when he asked me to oversee the Stenen village office. He was a very special person to me.
