Obituary for Gwendolyn Marie "Gwen" Levick

Gwendolyn Marie "Gwen" Levick
After a hard fought battle with cancer, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Marie Levick passed away peacefully May 25, 2022 at the age of 58.
She was born to Jean and Melvin Norum on August 30, 1963 and rounded out their family unit of five. Upon graduating high school, she began a career working with adults with special needs. She loved working as a support person and often lead her clients on many special Olympic adventures. Once she moved to Porcupine Plain, she played a large role in setting up the Porcupine Opportunities Program (POP). After having children, she decided to shift her career and began working with the schools in Porcupine as an educational assistant where she is known not as Mrs. Levick, but rather Aunty Gwen or Mama Gwen.
In 1990, Gwen married her soulmate Dwight Levick. She always wanted to be a mom and over the next nine years, they welcomed three children in to their family unit, Rebecca, Martina, and Trevor.
Gwen always made sure her home had an open door to anyone that wanted or needed to stop by. On any given day, it wouldn’t be surprising to pop over to the house and be greeted with the smell of fresh baking or a mouth-watering meal (with plenty extra to go around). While she was always ready for guests around the home, she also loved to travel, adventuring through many places with family and friends, though her favourite was Las Vegas.
As a beloved wife, mother, aunt, sister, and mama to so many, she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Gwen was pre-deceased by her daughter Martina Levick, her parents Jean and Melvin Norum, her brother Brian Norum, infant brother Garry, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Gwen is survived by her husband Dwight Levick; children Rebecca Levick and Trevor Levick; Sister Debbie (Willie) Dufault and their children Nicole (Keith) Rathgeber, Jenelle (Dean) McNab, Monique (David) Dufault; Sister-in-law Wendy (Richard) Kistner and their children Alicia (Shane) Kistner, Amy (Cole) Kistner, Rylan Kistner; Sister-in-law Connie (Les) Shearer and their children Rene (Corbin) Gustus, Brett Shearer, Jillian (Ashton) South, Ellie (Luke) Syrenne; Sister-in-law Clara (Greg) Tessmer and her children Brett (Angel) Norum, Barrett (Aaron) Norum, Brock (Chantelle) Norum, Maryanne Norum; Many deeply loved great nieces and nephews.
