Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Leslie Brand can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Leslie "Orville"  Brand

With sadness, the family of Orville Leslie Brand announces his passing on May 6, 2022. Orville will be lovingly remembered by his children: Ned (Toy) Brand, Alan (Valerie) Brand, Jo-Anne Brand, Bernie Brand, Maryln (Ryker) Bosse; grandchildren: Sheena, Nicole, Rachelle, Kyle, Konrad, Karissa, Jason, Megan, Tyler, Kylie, Teale and many great-grand children.

Orville was predeceased by his wife Gladys (1999), his parents Jack and Molly, and his four brothers and sisters.

Orville was born at the Red Cross Outpost on January 6, 1928. This was a very short distance from the family farm where he grew up.

Orville and Gladys (Krysowaty) were married on October 21, 1955. At first, farming with Orvilles dad and later taking over the family farm and raising their five children.

Orville enjoyed the fun side of life, curling, and playing hockey. He also liked playing cards and board games when the family got together.

The community was important to Orville as he served as an MD Councilman and was part of the Carragana Recreation Board.

His service of Remebrance is Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1:00 at the Porcupine Hall.
