Kay was born to Fred and Sadie Trish near Buchanan, Saskatchewan, on February 25, 1927. She grew up on her parents farm. In 1945, she married Joseph Misko. One year later, Glen, was born. Kay and Joe tried different businesses in Saskatchewan, the last was a small grocery store in Weeks, Saskatchewan. They then settled in Wainwright, Alberta for 30 years. Both she and Joe worked in the Army camp in Wainwright. They were involved in their local church.  After a few years, Kay worked in a local drug store until Joe retired. In 1968, Giles, her second son was born. After Joe’s retirement, they became very involved in lawn bowling, traveling all around Alberta. For one short year they tired living in BC. Alberta had better lawn bowing greens in Red Deer. They moved to Blackfalds, Alberta, near Red Deer. They were able to visit their grandchildren often in Edmonton. When Kay’s mother suffered a debilitating stroke in Porcupine Plain, they moved to Porcupine Plain to help, her mother and brother, Albert. After Kay’s parents and Joe passed away, Kay moved to Tisdale, first in a condo, then Caleb Village. On May 27, 2021, Kay passed into eternal life.
Kay is survived by her sons, Glen (Marianne) and Giles, her brother, Albert, grandchildren, Anne-Marie (Scott) Kennedy, James (Elizabeth), Elise (Zak) Adland and Candace Misko, and great grandchildren, Jonas and Samuel (Anne-Marie’s sons), Matthew and Victoria (James’ children) and Emma and Abraham (Elise’s children).
