Obituary for Lorna Beatrice Latimer

With sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Lorna “Sugar” Latimer. Lorna was born on April 25, 1941 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. She was the first child of James and Beatrice Latimer. Lorna grew up in Westgate, Manitoba and moved to Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan in 1980. In her later years, Lorna lived in Erwood, Kinistino, and Porcupine Plain. Lorna was unique in every way. She loved to dance and tease and was also good at giving orders. Despite her feistiness, she was always willing to help and was an extremely hard worker and was meticulous in any task.
Lorna is predeceased by her parents, James and Beatrice Latimer, and sister Jean (Rudy) Bakowski.
Lorna will be forever loved and remembered by her sister Mavis (Eugene) Gulutzan of Calgary, Alberta; sister Margaret Latimer of Calgary, Alberta; and brother James (Marilyn) Latimer of Erwood, Saskatchewan; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Thank you to the staff of the Red Deer Nursing Home for the excellent care she received.
There is no scheduled service due to Covid 19 restrictions.
Donations in memory of Lorna can be made to Special Olympics Saskatchewan, 1121 Winnipeg Street, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4R 1J5.
