Obituary for Alie Lupuliak

Alie (Stuivenberg) Lupuliak was born on November 10, 1948 in Enschede, Holland. She was the youngest of seven girls. Her parents John and Alie Stuivenberg along with their daughters came to Canada on April 1, 1952. They lived on a sugar beet farm in Coldale, AB. Then moved to Medicine Hat, AB and attended school until grade 7. Her father worked at the Sufield Research Station and later transferred to the Lacombe Research Station. She finished grade 8 and then went to work at the Red Deer Nursing Home. She later moved to Calgary and worked at a Mormon bakery and a T.B. Sanatorium.

Alie met Orest who became the love of her life and married November 27, 1971. They left the hustle and bustle of Calgary for a quieter family environment to raise their sons in Hudson Bay, SK in 1982.

She was predeceased by her husband Orest, parents John and Alie Stuivenberg and brothers-in-law Leroy Thompson, Albert Koster and Peter Rynsburger.

Alie leaves her family to treasure her memory - Sons Vince (Rundi) and daughters Danica and Alexis, Darcy (Rachel) and children Carter, Kylee, Cole and Chase. She is also survived by her sisters Minnie (Jerry) Witvoet, Kay Koster, Trudy (Jack) Friesen, Christine (Gordon) Van Eaton, Anne Rynsburger, Liz Thompson, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Alie’s greatest love was her family. She will be forever in our hearts and memories. She will greatly be missed.
