Obituary for Emily Densen (Rumak)
Emily Densen, at the age of 96 years, passed away peacefully in Hudson Bay, SK on October 25, 2020. She was born on April 11, 1924 in Pine River, Manitoba. She was the only daughter of Nick and Pearl Rumak. Emily worked as a nurse’s aide at the Pioneer Lodge for many years as well as the Day Care Centre. She is loved and greatly remembered, by not only the staff, but some of the former children. She was a proud member of the Legion Auxiliary for 57 years. She also served as the Silver Cross Mother for many years.
Emily is predeceased by; three of her daughters, Pearl Lousie, Darlene Sharon Labinowicz and Marian Ellen Bridgeman; her two brothers, Peter Rumak and Alex Rumak; as well as her parents, Nick and Pearl Rumak.
She will be greatly missed by; her remaining children, Doug (Brenda) Densen of Richmond B.C, Geraldine Densen of Hudson Bay and Penny (Gordon) Churn of Lloydminster Alb; 14 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren.
Emily will be fondly remembered for her unmatched compassion, kindness and her infectious smile.
