Peter was born the 5th child to parents, John and Katherine Borowetz, in Hudson Bay, SK. After growing up on the family farm, he married Olga Holowchuk from Weekes, SK on October 6, 1956. Peter began his farming career in 1954/55 which lasted his whole life in Veillardville/Hudson Bay, SK. He was also active in the forestry and logging industry for 21 years from 1956-1977. Peter will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by: sons, Taras and Boris, daughter-in-law Leann; and two grandchildren Taylor and Kobe. Also by his siblings: Steve (Angeline), Metro (Olga), Anne (Bill) Soloway, Mary, Katie (Roman) Okraincee, Stella Gallant, Olga (Orest) Zagrobelny; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Peter was predeceased by; his wife Olga (1986), parents John (1983) and Katherine (1987), brothers John (Anne) 2018, Mike (Violet) 2016 and George (Olga) 1997; three infant brothers, Andrew (1940), Bill (1941), Nick (1946) and two infant sisters; Pearl (1948) and Pauline. A private graveside service was held at the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Peter may be directed to the Saskatoon Cancer Centre, 20 Campus Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 4H4.
