Allan Robert DesRoches was born near Perigord on April 11, 1939. Allan passed away on January 2, 2020 at the age of 80 in the Kelvington Hospital surrounded by family.
Allan grew up and remained on the same homestead his entire life. He was pleased to take over the farm at the age of 16 and happily farmed for 60 years. He enjoyed carpentry and logging, and was a skilled welder who often redesigned equipment or designed and built his own. He enjoyed singing and, as a surprise to some, also had a love for poetry.
Allan is survived by his wife, Louise, children Gerald, Tricia, and Rob (Trevor), grandchildren Jayde, Lucas, Goran, Ty and Jill. Allan is the son of Wallace and Lillian DesRoches and brother to three sisters Frances (deceased), Linda, and Carole.
