Obituary for Roxanne Gail Serhan (McDonald)

Roxanne Gail Serhan was born in Saskatoon, SK, on Sept. 19 1964 to Donna and Ken McDonald. Donna was a school teacher and Ken was an electrician in Saskatoon. Roxanne attended St James Elementary School in Saskatoon and then later attended Aden Bowman Collegiate for her high school years. Roxanne graduated high school and from there went on to take the Post Graduate Secretarial Course at Walter Murray Collegiate Institute where she took business classes that would aid her in her future work as an administrative assistant.
Roxanne may have grown up in Saskatoon however many of her summers were spent at the family cabin at Greenwater Lake. The cabin at the lake would come to hold an immeasurable amount of laughs, love, and memories for Roxanne, her family and all the friends they had and would make during the summers there.
Roxanne married Allan Serhan and together they had three Children: Evan, Wesley, and Alana. Roxanne was the definition of a hard-working mother. She spent many years balancing a career as the assistant administrator for the RM of Porcupine Plain, taking up the daily labours of farming, and raising her children. She loved life in rural Saskatchewan, and she was passionate about everything she did both on and off the Farm. In her later years, she met her partner Dean Hanson and together they maintained the success of HB Construction in Hudson Bay. They spent many hours working side by side, making many memories, sharing lots of laughs, and loving the moments they spent together.
Roxanne always kept herself busy with work, however she had a love for many past times that included fishing, cooking, gardening, and making herself available to help anyone in need. Roxanne was a selfless, caring, and strong individual that truly loved helping others in any way she could. She loved to smile, laugh and spend time with others to catch up and talk about current events and memories of great times had.
Roxanne leaves behind to honour and cherish her memory her partner Dean Hanson, Children: Evan, Wesley (Danielle), Alana, sister Carla (Dave), brother Brian (Catterina), along with many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends too numerous to mention. Roxanne was predeceased by her mother Donna, her father Ken, grandparents Mary “Nana” Lorenski and Tony “Bampa” Lorenski.
