Obituary for Lyla Bertha Holman (Cole)

Lyla Bertha Holman was born March 8th, 1926 in Tisdale, SK to parents Robert and Elsie Cole. Lyla grew up in the Porcupine Plain Area, and received her education at Tall Spruce School.
On June 30th, 1945, Lyla married Kenneth Dale Holman. Together the couple were blessed with three children: Dianne, Larry and Barry. Lyla was a loving wife to Ken and a proud mother to her children.
Lyla had a love of flowers. She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, fishing, travelling, and spending time with family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Robert Cole and Elsie (Cole) Hardy; husband Kenneth Holmon; son Larry Holman; grand-daughter Kristine Barna; great grand-daughters Lily Heft and Danequa Heft; siblings Evelyn, Doris, Gordon, Pat and Don; step-father Ted Hardy.
Lyla is survived by her daughter Dianne (Allan) Barna of Lac La Biche, AB; son Barry (Rose) Holman of Hudson Bay, SK; sisters, Madeline Deforest of Prince Albert, SK and Betty (Julius) Kovach of Welland, ON; brother Edwin (Phyllis) Hardy of Port Colburne, ON; 12 great grand-children; 22 great grand-children; 7 great great grand-children; along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
