Obituary for Garth Leonard Murray Langdon

Garth Leonard Murray Langdon was born on July 5th, 1959 in Kelowna, British Columbia to parents Leonard and Bernice Langdon. Along with his older sister Joy and younger sister Katherine he grew up and received is education in Weekes, Saskatchewan.
On May 2nd, 1981, Garth married Margaret Horvath. Together to couple was blessed with four children: Garett, Blane, Preston, and Meghan.
Garth began working on the farm with his dad Leonard after his graduation in 1977 until 1987, when Garth, Margaret and his young family moved to Edson , Alberta. In Alberta, Garth worked for Stone House Logging. In 1992 the family moved back to Saskatchewan and ran the Service Station in Prairie River, Saskatchewan until 1996. In 1997, Garth took over cattle farming from his parents until moving to Edson, Alberta in 2004. Garth worked at Coal Valley Mine in Edson from 2006-2014 until he and Margaret moved to Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan and began working for Denham’s.
Garth enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing slow pitch but the greatest joy in his life was his family. He loved being a husband, father and grandfather.
Garth is predeceased by his father Leonard Langdon; father-in-law John Horvath; best friend Darrell Gibson.
Garth is survived by his wife Margaret Langdon; mother Bernice Langdon; son Garett (Kristin) Langdon and their children Alex and Aurora; son Blane (Jessie) Langdon and their daughter Kyra; son Preston (Melissa) and his children Fenix, Dominic and Deelya; daughter Meghan (Kyle) Klindt; sisters Joy Langdon and Katherine (Dwight) Grzybowski; mother-in-law Mary Horvath; along with numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
