Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ronald Hirtle can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Ronald Herbert Chisley Hirtle

Ronald Herbert Chisley Hirtle was born on November 1, 1935 on the Greenwater homestead to Orin and Ida Hirtle.
Ron grew up and attended school in the Bellshill area.
In Ron’s early adult life he worked away in Abby, SK as a farmers help in the summer. During the winter he worked at Hudson Bay on a sawmill. He did this for many years.
During this time he met the love of his life Gwyn Hubble. They were married April 24, 1965. Ron and Gwyn moved to the family farm right after they married.
Ron continued to work away from home for the first few years during the winter months and farmed the family farm during the summer. Ron enjoyed farm life, raising cattle and grain farming. He also enjoyed his many years working at various sawmills in the area.
Ron was also a counsellor for the R.M. of Kelvington 366 for a number of years. Ron thoroughly enjoyed playing cards, dancing, listening to music, and gathering with family and friends for a wiener roast and fun! One things Ronnie was well known for was his love of a good auction sale. He made many miles with his buddy Bernard to these sales.
Ron and Gwyn raised their family on the family farm, he loved his three children Garry, Eleanor and Shane. Many a Saturday night was spent with the family at the table playing cards and games.
Ron was predeceased by his parents Orin and Ida; his sisters Marion , Blanche and twin sister Clara. Left to mourn his passing are Gwyn, his wife of 53 Years; son Garry (Leanne); daughter Eleanor (Newt); son Shane (Carrie); grandchildren: Haley, Travis, Tirza, Asha and Nadia; great grand-children Cooper and Everly; as well as numerous family and friends.
