Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jean Wilson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Jean Wilson (Holowachuk)

Jean Wilson, late of Regina, SK, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the age of 82 years young. She was predeceased by parents Nicholas and Stella (Kwasny) Holowachuk of Bjorkdale, SK; and brother John Holowachuk of Lac La Biche, AB. Jean is survived by daughters, Nadine McRae (Daryl) of Ottawa, ON, Brenda Twombly of Empress, AB, Beth Belcourt of Richmond, BC and Andrea Archer (Glenn) of Crossfield, AB; grandchildren Jackie, Robyn (Chris), Nicholas (Chantal), Jessica (Nathan), Ian (Miranda), Dayna (Chris), Cory (Kendra), Laura and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Cohen and Aria; sister Judy Hegedus; brother Jim Holowachuk (Shirley); and many nieces and nephews. A quietly proud mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she was a tenacious and spirited woman. Jean was a lifelong learner and storyteller, a world traveller, avid reader, a lifelong fan of her beloved Blue Jays, and lover of creating beauty with her hands through many outlets. She was a gifted craftsman and has left behind a legacy of artistry and the most cherished of family recipes. Cremation has already taken place. A Memorial service and interment are to be held at the Hillcrest Chelan Cemetery, Chelan,SK, Saturday June 2,2018 at 1 pm. Family will be in attendance at this time and all that knew her are welcome to join us at this time. Arrangements made with Blairs Funeral Home, Porcupine Plain,SK.
