Obituary for Marvin Madarash

Marvin Madarash
It is with great sadness, that the family of Marvin Madarash announce his unexpected passing on March 25, 2018, at the age of 88.
Marvin was born on February 22nd, 1930 on the family farm near Chelan, SK to parents Mary and Theodore Madarash. Marvin went to the University of Saskatchewan and received his diploma in Agriculture. After receiving his diploma, Marvin returned to the farm to continue with his passion of farming, and worked for the next 50+ years. Marvin met his wife Rose Lasonak in 1951, and happily wed on April 10, 1953. They lived in the town of Porcupine Plain for a few years, then returned to the farm to raise their girls. After about 10 years, the family moved back into town and that is where Marvin has resided since.
When Marvin had free time from the farm, and up until his last days, he filled his time with hunting, gardening, going for quad rides, and fishing. In the winter months, you could find Marvin curling, ice fishing and going snowmobiling. He also loved watching curling. Marvin spent many years traveling around the world, always bringing back mementos for the family to enjoy.
Marvin will forever be lovingly remembered by his children Wendy (Brian) and Elaine. Alongside his children, Marvin will be remembered and missed by his grandchildren, Tyler (Melissa, son Maverick), Riley, Jessica, and Melissa (Jeremy). Marvin is survived by his sister Rose Harris of Red Deer, AB, and Anne Sutherland of Winnipeg, MB, and numerous nieces and nephews. Marvin is predeceased by his late wife Rose, brothers Joseph and Michael, sisters Ellen, Pauline, and Stella.
