Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Connie Gustus can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Connie Elaine Gustus (Prouse)

Connie Elaine  Gustus (Prouse)
Constance Elaine Gustus (Prouse) was born in Kelvington March 25, 1945 to parents Oliver and Ruth Prouse. Connie grew up in Kelvington and area, going to school at Hill Peak grades 1-8, Kelvington school grades 9-12, and then to Reliance School of Commerce in Regina, SK while living with her sister Dorothy. Connie then accepted a position with SaskPower and lived with Sharon Melrose.

In 1965 Connie married Mike Gustus and they began their adventure working together in many different business ventures.

Son Trent was born June 11, 1966 and daughter Cindy was born October 17, 1969.

In 1970, the family moved to Saskatoon to continue the adventure.

In 1992, Connie and Mike parted ways and Connie moved into a condominium where she met her new best friend, Paulette Arnst. In 2012, Connie moved back to Kelvington to be closer to family, but remained very close with Paulette. In Kelvington, she made another new close friend, Joyce Peterson.

Connie over the years enjoyed bowling, aerobics, bike riding, swimming, ceramics and had taken lessons in organ, chinese cooking, flower arrangements along with many other interests.

She is predeceased by her parents Oliver and Ruth Prouse and is survived by: son Trent (Irena) Gustus and grandson Lucas Gustus; daughter Cindy (Reg) Wasyliw and grandchildren: Jordan (Daphne) Wasyliw, Julaine (Mathieu) Wasmuth and Jessica Wasyliw as well as all her brothers and sisters.
