Ode To Eva Martin
by Evelyn Powlowski

Eva was small in stature,
but tall in works.
Fierce as a lion.
Mighty in strength,
salt of the earth.
She believed in doing
onto others -
A help mate indeed.
She knew the axe,
saw and shovel.
The ant of the world.
Toiling away with joy
in her heart.
A simple life,
no demands.
Thrift was her second name.
No demands.
Her home was the hive of love.
Family was very
precious to her.
A job well done!
Faithful servant to
all whom she touched.
She leaves her mark.
May her spirit live on.
