Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" Biro (Kovach)
Elizabeth (Betty) Biro was born on July 4, 1934 in Mistatim, Saskatchewan to parents Jerry and Vera Kovach. Betty grew up in the Mistatim District and received her education at the Pine Creek School.
On June 22, 1952, Betty married Louis Biro. To this union joined two children, daughter Angela and son George.
Betty loved to be active and as a result she was a member of the Mistatim Chamber of Commerce, Mistatim Rink Board, and a member of the United Church Women. When she was not out volunteering in Mistatim, Betty would spend her time crocheting doilies and afghans, and of course cooking and baking.
Betty was predeceased by her parents, sister Margaret Halls, brother-in-law Bert Halls, sister-in-law Eunice Biro, and her special cousin Geraldine Janzen.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband Louis; daughter Angela (Blair) Lutz; son George Biro; grandchildren: Blaire (Todd) Kirkland, Miles Lutz, Apollonia Lutz, Alias Biro (Jenna) and Keenan Biro; great-grandchildren: Amia Kirkland, Zackery Kirkland and Farrah Kirkland; brothers: Frank (Margaret) Kovach and Wendell (Wilma) Kovach; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
