Obituary for Mary Kelley (Sloboda)

Mary Kelley passed away peacefully in the Red Deer Nursing Home in Porcupine Plain, SK on October 15, 2017 at the age of 99 years.
Mary was born on August 26, 1918 in Vonda, SK to parents Caroline and Harry Sloboda, she was the eldest child in the family. In the 1920's the Sloboda family moved to the High Tor District south of Porcupine Plain, SK. Mary worked hard helping her parents on the farm.
On October 6, 1941, Mary was united in marriage to Philip Kelley. Together they farmed for many years in the Chelan area. Upon their retirement in 1977 they moved into Bjorkdale, SK where they resided for eighteen years. In 1995, due to health they moved into Tisdale, SK. A few years after Philip’s passing in 1999, Mary became a long term resident of the Red Deer Nursing Home in Porcupine Plain, SK.
She was predeceased by her parents Caroline and Harry; her husband Philip; sisters: Helen, Rose, Madaline and Emma; brothers: Mike, John and Joe; sisters and brothers-in-law: Ann, Peter, Jannet, Lenard, Dick, Roy, Alec, Owen and Mary.
Mary leaves to mourn her sisters: Annie, Jean, Barbra and Josiphine; brother Bill; sister-in-laws: Kay, Irene and Elsie; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
