John Wojcichowski and Mary (Federko) welcomed Ethel into their family of ten on March 23, 1928. Ethel was the youngest child in her family. She was raised and baptized in the Roman Catholic Church. Ethel is predeceased by her parents and her seven siblings. Ethel had three brothers - Frank, Walter and Stanley and four sisters - Annie, Julia, Pauline and Mary.
Ethel loved to sing and at a very early age blessed the world with her beautiful voice. She attended school at Crystal View School in Tway, Saskatchewan where she was born.
Ethel met Lucien Hue who originated from Wakaw, Saskatchewan and on November 3, 1949 they were married and together they had nine children; 6 sons - Edgar, Raymond, Robert, Lionel, Ross and Gary and 3 daughters - Darlene, Geraldene and Cheryl. Ethel is predeceased by her husband Lucien (1981), sons Robert (1974) and Edgar (2011) and granddaughter Hope (2003).
Ethel worked very hard to raise her children. She taught them respect and love. Through every lesson she was always singing and happy. No matter what song came on the radio, Mother bellowed out the words for all to hear.
Ethel taught her family to love without material things. Knitted mittens and slippers will always be treasured… tied together with a string so one would not be lost without the other.
