Obituary for Olga Mary Saufert (Blaskow)

Olga was born on December 13, 1940 in the Doncrest area to Paul and Sophie Blaskow. She attended the Nixonville School until Grade 9.
Olga met the love of her life James Saufert in 1958 and they were married on February 20, 1959. Together they farmed and in 1966 built their family home a quarter mile from the Saufert homestead. Olga stayed home to raise their two children Lorraine and Ed until starting at the Red Deer Nursing Home. In 1983 Jim and Olga built a home in Porcupine Plain. In 2002 they moved to Melfort.
Olga enjoyed cooking, golf, cards, puzzling and especially spending time with her family and friends. Olga’s family was her pride and joy.
Olga was predeceased by her husband Jim; her parents and husband’s parents; her brothers: Peter and John; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
Olga is survived by her daughter Lorraine (Dan) Vallee; son Ed (Brenda); grandchildren: Shalynn, Sheena (Clint), Sasha (Brian), Katelynn (Grayden) and Dylan; great-granddaughter Rylee; brother Mike (Barb) Blaskow; sisters-in-law: Eva Blaskow, Theresa Devine, Elizabeth Lisitza, Margaret Saufert and Doris Meekins; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
