The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Laurine Goy can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Joanne Pitre
Condolence: On behalf of my Mom, Margaret Carmichael (Purdy), sincere sympathy to the family of Laurine. My mom would talk about the time she spent at Neely Lake. She talked fondly of all the people that she met there. She kept in touch with Laurine for several years, but do to her failing memory she could not continue. Mom is now a resident of Golden Acres in Wynyard. I did have the chance to visit with Laurine when Mom was a resident at the lodge in Porcupine Plains. I was very pleased to meet her and admired the many dolies she had made.

Condolence: We are going to miss you, Mom. You were always there, you had a heart of gold, you always thought of others first before yourself, your mind was a book of knowledge and you never needed an encyclopedia to find the answer to any past world events or sports---especially about the world series. Mom, you have taught us to hold on tight when the ships are down, it might take awhile but those things too, would pass.

Until we meet again, we love you mom, we hope you are at rest. Goodnight, and as Dad used to say "Don't let the bedbugs bite."
