Stella Alicia Poniatowski (Beilec)
Stella Alicia (Bielec) Poniatowski was born, May 7th, 1935 in Narol, Lubaczow, Poland. In her early years, Stella’s life was interrupted by the war. During these years, she spent time in the Dachau and Auschwitz camps. After the war was over, she traveled to Doddington Camp, located in England, where she met Henry Rojek; her soon to be husband. Stella and Henry immigrated to Canada and lived in Blairmore, AB for the next couple of years. They had 4 children together. Following the divorce of that marriage, Stella and her daughter Barbara moved to small town, Porcupine Plain, SK. Here, Stella was hired as a nanny for Bill and Julie Gulka. Soon after, she met Chester Poniatowski, and moved to the family farm in 1963, they spent many years making many memories. Stella and Chester wed in 1974 in Prince Albert, SK. They sold the farm on October 14th, 1985, and moved to Porcupine Plain, SK; where they happily spent their retirement.
Stella was predeceased by her parents Franciscus and Maria Bielec; sister Alexandra; brother Ted; first husband Henry Rojek; and second husband Chester Poniatowski.
Stella is survived by her 4 children: Alex Rojek, Barb (Henry) Patenaude, Anne (Hank) Klunder, and Izabelle (Phillip) Lema;19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
