Obituary for Chester Joseph Parada

Chester Joseph Parada was born on December 3rd, 1935 to parents Stanley and Anna Parada on the family homestead at Kinlock, Saskatchewan.
He was the fourth of what would be six children, including: Wanda, Stella, Frances, Bernie, and Florence. He grew up on the farm and attended school in Kinlock, Saskatchewan.
In 1953 his Dad passed away. Being the oldest son, Chester had a lot on his shoulders, and Chester did his best to help and work. Eventually Chester took over the family farm.
He was regarded as being a very hard worker in his younger years. He farmed for many years. He worked in the logging industry which took him to B.C. for several winters, as well as locally in the Hudson Bay area. He also did land breaking, road construction, and worked in the community pasture. Unknown to most, Chester was also a very skilled welder.
There were memories of family visiting on the farm; picking blue berries and Chester taking his nephews to ride in his CAT when they were kids.
Chester liked sports cars and owned several sporty FORDS during his years of driving. Chester moved to Regina, Saskatchewan in the early 80's then returned to live in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan in the mid 90's.
Unfortunately Chester had his share of health issues and challenges. With failing health, Chester moved to the Arborfield Nursing Home where he resided from 2006 until his passing. The family was very grateful for the excellent care he received while in the nursing home. He passed away on December 15th, 2105 with his two sisters by his side.
Chester was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Anna Parada; sister Wanda; brother Bernie; brothers-in-law Charles Collins and Joe Perog.
Chester is survived by his sisters Estelle Collins of Calgary, AB; Frances (George) Fittes of Porcupine Plain, SK; Florence (Ronald) Thomasgard of Porcupine Plain, SK; sister-in-law Rose Parada of Red Deer, AB; also numerous nephews and nieces.
