Lillian Tekla Terletski was born on October 14, 1917 at Rama, Saskatchewan to Dora and Alex Terletski. She had six sisters and two brothers. She played the guitar and the cymbali in a musical band with her father and her sister for wedding dances. She grew up on a farm.
In February 1938, Lillian married Mike Zubaty at Rama. The couple farmed for many years at Rama, Theodore and Insinger. Lillian grew large gardens and worked hard alongside Mike on the farm. She had a talent for making flower arrangements for weddings and for churches. She was an extremely generous and hospitable homemaker who loved to feed anyone who stepped into her home. She was devoted to her husband and to her sons. She was the barber for all the neighbours. She also enjoyed sewing, baking and canning and loved company. She also loved children and all animals especially her dog Bobby and the baby lambs and goslings.
Lillian and Mike had five sons. Two sons died in infancy. Her son Carl (Mary) lives in the Sheho area and is still farming. Son Ed (Doreen) lives in Kelvington and son Paul lives in Calgary.
Lillian and Mike Zubaty retired from the farm to Kelvington. Mike passed away on October 5th, 1986.
In 1997, Lillian married Wilfred Matthews who passed away on January 25th, 2001.
Lillian attended the United Church in Kelvington until walking became difficult. She also became very hard of hearing. She still loved visitors to come. Lillian especially enjoyed trips to visit her sons on the farm and other travels with her good friend Mary Burnett. She enjoyed attending the birthday parties of her friends. She loved fishing and all nature. She liked to visit with Mary and with Kay Grunet.
Lillian was predeceased by her parents; her husband Mike and husband Wilfred; sisters: Maria Terletski, Anne Dutchak, Lena Mudry, Emily Marsilla, and Frances Landago; brothers: Paul and Joe Terletski.
She leaves to mourn her children: Carl (Mary), Ed (Doreen), and Paul; her sister Mary (Marcel) Ostafie; sister-in-law Stella Terletski; step-children: Eileen Samborski (Mike) and Alvin Bebault (Sondra) and families and numerous nieces and nephews.

Appreciation
The family thanks you sincerely for sharing in their sorrow. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated. A special thanks to the staff of Kelvindell Lodge and to the staff at Kelvington Hospital for their care and compassion during Lillian’s last days.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil, My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me All the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Do Not Stand At My Grave
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sun on the ripened grain;
I am the gentle Autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there; I did not die.
